This layout is too big to be able to ship it on affordable basis if fully assembled. Instead, we will send it to you in two sections (shown on the track plan in gray and pink) with two adjustable connecting tracks (shown in black) that you hook up on site.
 
In addition, note that we will include TWO layers of 1" thick foam. When you glue the top layer with the tracks on it to the bottom base layer, you end up with one single 2" thick monolith of base material. If this doesn't make sense, watch the VIDEO again -- as it will show all this..
 
Please take a careful look at the picture of the track plan. Because there is an isolated Holding Track (shown in red), you can run two trains at a time  without having them on DCC -- because when one is starting to catch the other, you can  pull the slower one off onto the holding track and let it sit until the faster one passes.
 
The turnouts into and out of the holding track are wired for remote control, but all the turnouts for the sidings and industrial stubs are manual.
 
One more comment: coming off the holding track are stubs  that are perfect for industrial modeling. Check out EVERYTHING ELSE WE SELL -- you will see that we are now have weathered, hand-painted buildings in several price categories.
 
The price you see on our website  is 10% off what would be the normal eBay list price . But, even with a 10% discount, we know this layout has a pretty hefty price; if budget is an issue, please check our out SMALL Yard Extension -- it is much more affordable.
 
A couple of closing notes: The price listed includes the track, the turnouts and bumpers, and glued-down scenery (including hand-ballasted track). We do not supply any controllers for track or turnouts,  nor do we include any buildings, locomotives, or train cars. Also, some pictures of the layout show how some of our other layouts that can fit inside this one -- please note those pictures are just for illustration (each of the other layouts is sold separately).
 
To run this layout you will need two power controllers (one for the main line and one for the holding track). We recommend the smaller Rokuhan RC02 for the holding track and the bigger Rokuhan RC03 for the mainline, as it comes with two turn-out controls built in.
 
All track is Rokuhan. Shipping is FREE, but note that we do not accept returns.
 
Please note that this layout almost always requires lead time. We DON'T normally keep it in our finished inventory, nor do we normally have on hand all the parts  needed for it.
 
Please also be aware that this is a layout we can easily customize in size: 55" x 40" is the STOCK size and is sized that way so it can fit around one of our larger oval layouts (which are 48" x 24" in size). If you want something bigger or smaller than the stock size, just let us know. We are always happy to do cusyom work.
