This layout stretches our N1: Single Track Oval w Holding Track to just over 12' in length so that it can surround BOTH of our smaller layouts (the N2: Figure 8 and also the N3: Double Oval).
 
Because of it combines three layouts, this layout can run 5 trains at a time: Two on the Stretched N1: Single Oval w Holding Trk (where, because of its extra length, it can support two American-style passenger car trains with each having op to12 passenger cars and doubled-locomotives (A-B or A-B-A).
Two on the N3: Double Track Oval w/ Yard (with a recommended max of  8-10 cars on each ).
One on the N2 Figure 8 (8-10 car recommended max)(

     The N1 Oval works best  in DCC, the but the other two layouts (N2: Gentle Figure 8 and the N3: Double Oval)  work well in DC or DCC. It gets shipped in 8 sections - 4 for the outer main oval, 2 for the inner double oval, and 2 for the Figure 8 (with details on this shown below).
 
     As for the N1: Single Track Oval, It is the HOLDING TRACK that makes it easy to have two trains share the same track (when you want to run just one train and park the other, you can use the holding track). 
 
     Now let's talk SIZE as it relates to shipping. This N6 Combo is one of our SHIPPABLE LARGE LAYOUTS. By that we mean that we  can take a layout as big as this one (12'4" x 34") and send it out WITH FREE SHIPPING as we send it out in stacked sections. In the case of this layout we send it in EIGHT sections (four for the outer oval, and two each for the Figure 8 and  the inner double oval. Watch THIS VIDEO and look at the pictures above and you will see how easy it is to connect the sections together on site, thanks to the use of Adjustable Track.

     The combined layout is 12'6" long by 34" wide . We provide all the internal wiring the layouts need (track feeds and turnout controls). We do not provide any power controllers (either for track or turnouts) nor do we furnish any locomotives, cars, or buildings. All track is Kato Unitrack.
 
     We highly recommend DCC for the N1: Single Track Oval layout, but DC is possible with some "jerry-rigging." -- and the N2: Gentle Figure 8 works perfectly in either DC or DCC.      Since the layout comes in several sections, we will provide scenery material that you can glue down to cover the cracks (watch the video and examine the pictures and you will see how well the cracks can be hidden).
