The OUTER OVAL of this combo layout is the  Z11: Hi-Speed Oval w/ Holding Track, which is 10' 6" in length and 34" in wide.
Because of our custom 3-D printed 320 mm roadbed curves, you can run longer trains on this layout-- 12 or more cars passenger, 24 or more freight. 
And this layout, even though it has but a single track, can support two trains at a time on it because it has a long holding track where you can park one of the trains, either just to store it or to let the other train pass it by.
 
The insert portion of the layout is the Z6: Elongated Figure 8 (35" x 19"). It is a Figure 8 layout that can run smaller trains (up to 4-6 cars long).

As for shipping the layout, you will get it in FOUR SECTIONS. We will provide complete instructions, including how you will glue up the  TWO LAYERS of 1" thick foam that we ship (so that the whole thing becomes a single 2" thick 'monolith' of material). A couple of closing notes:  All track is Rokuhan. Turnouts for holding tracks are powered, and, while we provide all power feeds and cables needed, we do not include the power controllers for track or turnouts  -- nor  do we include any buildings, locomotives, or train cars.
